Rooted in the words of St Paul in Romans 12:4, “Each one of us has a body, and that body has many parts… In Christ we are all one body and we are all a part of it. Each part belongs to all the other parts. We all have different gifts,” we embrace the diversity of gifts, skills, and qualities within our school community. Together, we live, learn, and grow in a nurturing environment that cherishes each individual, enabling the whole body to flourish.

At Stanton Harcourt CE Primary School, we embrace the symbolism of the peacock as a powerful metaphor for our spiritual journey and school community.
Eyes of the Peacock – Noticing, Awe and Wonder (WOW, NOW, OW)
Just as the peacock’s eyes and eyes on its feathers notice the world with curiosity and wonder, we encourage our pupils to observe their surroundings with open hearts and minds. We nurture a sense of awe in learning and living, inspiring children to see the beauty and mystery in everyday moments and to appreciate the gifts of creation.
Unique Feathers – Celebrating Individual Gifts
Each feather of the peacock is unique, just as every child in our school brings their own special gifts, talents, and qualities. Reflecting our vision, we cherish these differences and celebrate that each individual is a vital part of the whole.
