In the summer of 2014 we became part of the Eynsham Partnership Academy and we work closely with our partnership schools – Bartholomew Secondary School, Eynsham Community Primary School, Hanborough Manor CE Primary School, St Peter’s CE Primary School, Freeland CE Primary School and Standlake CE Primary School. Our aim is to provide the very best education for our 2-19 year olds across the partnership and we have a number of groups of teachers and other staff who meet regularly to share best practice and train and develop. The great advantage of working so closely lies in our shared ethos and resources. Our children also enjoy joining together for sports, arts and other curriculum events and are well prepared for their transition to secondary school.
The directors of the Eynsham Partnership Academy have now formally approved to embark on discussions with the Faringdon Academy of Schools about the possible merger between the two academy trusts and a joint statement of intent has been issued to all staff and is also available on both the EPA and all the schools’ websites.
If those discussions and our respective information gathering is successful then we are expecting to move to the consultation stage in the autumn term 2017. At that point, we will be very keen to receive and learn your views but, if you have any questions before then, please direct them to Mike Lawes, EPA Chief Operating Officer in the first instance.
