Our school council is made up of enthusiastic pupils who want to have their say about the school. We hold elections every year and the children vote for those who they think will best represent them. Children learn about the democratic process and those short-listed have to give speeches and canvass support prior to election day.

We believe strongly in pupil voice at Stanton Harcourt and ensure that those who serve on the school council can really make a difference. In the past, these children have introduced water bottles in classes, had a say on uniform and homework, contributed to activities for the whole school and supported FOSHS (our PTA, the Friends of Stanton Harcourt School) in their decisions about how to spend their funds. Our outdoor classroom was one of the results of this work.
