Chedworth – 2019
On 14th February, Owl class visited Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire, as part of their Romans topic.
We all had an absolutely fantastic day, led by our extremely knowledgeable guide, Ros. The children found out about many aspects of Roman life, including medicines, which they had a go at making themselves, the very important bathing rituals and they even studied some genuine Roman artefacts. We also learned about the spectacular mosaics discovered on the site, some of which were created using over one million stones and gems! The children behaved superbly at all times and Ros was so impressed with their knowledge and insightful questions.
