After our fantastic week at Woodlands last week, we have all slowly adjusted to being back in the classroom! This week we have been growing in confidence with decimal numbers and preparing for our discussion texts on the question, “Should Animals be Kept in Captivity?”. In Science, we learnt about the structure of the human eye and we have ‘mod-roc-d’ balloons, ready to create our own models next week. In Geography, we compared two streets in Oxford which were built at around the same time for two very different groups of people. In PE, we further developed our frisbee throwing and catching skills, beginning to think about moving into space to receive a pass. It has been lovely to see some of the benefits of our time away already impacting the classroom and it has also been lovely to welcome two new children into class this week.
