This week has whizzed by in whirl of activities. The play is steadily taking shape and it was exciting to sort costumes, make headgear and begin to paint props on Wednesday. (There are still some verses of some songs where the words are not secure, so any help you can give at home would be great.) We are now making our programmes for the performance. In Maths, Year 6 have been working on their Zoo project and we have all created scaled nets and scale models. In History, we have learned about why the Romans invaded Britain, and the children chose how to present the information to the class – we had several dramas, a rap, a song and a poem. The week ended with a morning workshop on Energy – what sources there are, how we turn fuel into electricity and innovative ways to provide and manage our consumption of it – led by students from the Department of Engineering at the University of Oxford. It was a joyful morning of learning as I hope you can see from the pictures. Have a wonderful weekend.
