Owl Class News 06.06.25

What a fabulous week we have had in Owl Class! We are really enjoying getting into our production, including learning the songs (which are on Google Classroom so that it is easy to practise at home). Thank you to all the parents who are helping the children learn their lines; we will be in touch soon about costumes. We have started our new Science topic (the Human Timeline) and in RE we are continuing our study of Hinduism, building on the trip to the mandir before half term. Year 6 are moving on to investigations and project work in Maths, while Year 5 have been focussing on converting units of measure. On Thursday, we had our lovely trip to North Leigh Roman Villa. The guides who took us around the site commented on how well the children listened and what good questions they asked. We then enjoyed walking back through the woods to the coach. Thank you for transporting your children to the site so that we could keep costs down. We have also had a super time rehearsing “Bring Me Sunshine” with some musicians from Freeland Orchestra and hope that lots of children will be coming along to sing at the concert on Saturday 14th June in the Village Hall, 7 pm start. Have a super weekend.
