This has been one of the busiest weeks that I can remember in Owl Class! It started on Monday with a visit from the Oxfordshire Bee Keepers’ Association, linked to our topic on Biodiversity. Then on Tuesday, we had Ofsted with us – the children were fantastic and it was a shame that more of them did not have the chance to meet with the visitors as so many wanted to talk to them. After school on Tuesday, seven members of the class went with Mrs Rideout to the EPA netball tournament at Bartholomew School, where they stood out for their knowledge of the rules of netball, and playing with great sportsmanship. On Wednesday, a different five children were at Bartholomew for the day, at an EPA Reading Festival linked to World Book Day and then on Thursday it was the great day itself. Children came in to our Booky Breakfast dressed in a fabulous range of outfits of words or characters from books. And somehow in the midst of everything, Year 6 have steadily and carefully worked their way through a set of assessments. I am sure everyone is ready for a lovely rest over the weekend.
