Owl Class Weekly Learning

On Monday, Owl Class attended the EPA Quad Kids athletics event at Tilsley Park. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the children competed with great rigour, determination and enthusiasm throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of their resilience and sporting attitude. Well done to everyone involved!

On Thursday, our Year 6 pupils were invited to attend a celebratory service at Christ Church Cathedral. This special occasion provided an opportunity for reflection as the children continue to embrace the many transition events taking place throughout the term in preparation for their move to secondary school.

This week, Owl Class have also been exploring co-ordinates in both Maths and Geography. The children have enjoyed applying their mathematical understanding to map work, developing their confidence in locating, plotting and interpreting positions accurately.

In RE, we have been considering what makes an effective role model. Through exploring the lives and achievements of Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein and Lord Roberts, the children have discussed the qualities that inspire others and the positive impact role models can have on society.

We have also continued our performance rehearsals, which are progressing extremely well. The children are growing in confidence with their lines, songs and stage directions each day. Next week, we are aiming to be script-free and ready to take the next exciting step in our preparations for the performance.
