This has been a very busy week in Year 6. In Geography, we have been developing our global locational knowledge, including revising key lines of latitude and longitude such as the Arctic Circle and the Prime Meridian. In Science we were thinking about the question, ‘How did people know the Earth was round before humans went into space?’ We learned about the way that Aristotle deduced that Earth is a sphere and modelled his observations for ourselves. We have moved back into the world of fractions in maths and are learning how to change the emphasis of our sentences by varying between active and passive voice.
