We have had another great week. It has been lovely to read the wide range of sequels that the children have written to the short film, The Astronomer’s Sun (most of them chose a happy ending for the lonely bear). In Maths, we have been wrestling with percentages and learning how to find percentages of amounts. But the most significant aspect of the week has been that it is Science week! We enjoyed a Science Collective Worship with Mrs Tingley on Monday morning, then in the afternoon we joined a BBC Live Lesson with Tim Peake, talking about the challenges to our body of living in space. On Thursday, we had a fantastic time with Mr Coleman, thinking about how to protect an egg, first from a fall and then from an horizontal impact. We showed a genuine engineering approach, tinkering with our creations as we saw the fate of other people’s eggs! I have included several photos of our lacrosse lesson from this week. Our skills are really developing and there were lots of excellent throws and catches to be seen. Overall it has been a lovely week.
