Owl Class News 15.09.23

Owl Class has settled in so quickly and happily that it is hard to believe we have only be back for two weeks. In English we have been using figurative language to describe Medusa’s cave as Perseus enters and we are very much enjoying reading Greek myths together as our whole class book. We have been using the place value counters in Maths as we extend our understanding of place value and show our understanding in standard and non-standard partitioning. We have had our second swimming lesson of term and it is incredible how much progess has been made by the children in just these two sessions. They are working extremely hard in the pool. On Tuesday we enjoyed some call and response singing, with some of the chidlren leading us in ‘Boom chicka boom’ and we are continuing our Science topic learning about the circulatory system, acting out thet movement of oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood around the body. I hope everyone has a well-earned rest over the weekend.
