And another super week for Year 6 comes to an end! It has been a particular pleasure to have Mrs Barry with us this week and we are sorry to have to say goodbye to her. As well as beginning work on newspaper reports and exploring the complicated world of drawing Celtic Knotwork, the class has had the chance to make bread rolls in cooking. We are so lucky to have Mrs Grew leading us this term, with all her years of experience teaching cooking. The bread looked fantastic and several children commented on how useful it was to be learning to make ‘real’ food. On a hot Thursday afternoon, we joined with Hedgehog class to play some great games of Action Netball and we then had a water relay. The children’s high standard of netball shone through in this freer form of the game and it is very encouraging to see how their skills have developed. Friday – well, it was very hot!
