Owl Class News 18.10.24

Our week got off to an excellent start with our first class treat of the term for filling our ‘Gogo jar’. We enjoyed a wet half hour at the park, exploring the stream and playing on the equipment. The sooner we re-fill the jar, the sooner we can go back! It has been a Science-heavy week as we continue our topic of Properties of Materials. We made water filters, trying to clean up some very muddy water, and also learned about solutions and the solubility of various substances. In History, we moved on from the evacuation of Dunkirk to the Battle of Britain – what it was and why it happened. We will continue next week, learning why it was so significant. Meanwhile in Maths we have been learning about Multiples and Factors, while in English we are about to write our stories which build tension as Rose tries to help the children escape. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
