It has been a lovely week with a great mix of hard work and more relaxed times. In maths we have been working on tessellation, with a passing nod to Escher. The children have developed an increasingly sophisticated range of shapes and have been thinking about how they can use colour to maximise the impact of their patterns. At the same time, English lessons have involved some excellent focused work using dialogue for effect and experimenting with some new types of sentence structure. Wednesday afternoon was an inflatable football experience, but perhaps the most significant event of the week was the auditions for our production. The parts were handed out on Thursday and Miss Miller and I are very excited about what lies ahead.
