Owl Class News 22.11.24

The children in Years 5 and 6 have been working hard at their Autumn assessments this week. It has been impressive to see their focussed attitude and desire to show what they can do. Well done everyone. In addition to Reading, Maths and Grammar, we have continued with creating our waistcoats in DT and learning about life cycles in Science – this week it was mammals. We set up some mint cuttings at the start of the week to see if they will reproduce and produce new plants, but we are a little worried the cold temperatures have finished them off. We will continue looking for signs of root growth … In PE, our Gymnastics and Fitness modules are proving challenging and fun and it is great to see different children succeeding in different areas. We have more or less filled our Gogo jar again, so it is likely we will be off to the park again next week as a class reward.
