Owl Class News 24.11.23

Owl Class has really been hitting its stride in English this week, writing some effective newspaper reports using accurate punctuation of speech and a range of verb forms. There are some very catchy headlines flying around the classroom as we report on the collision of the constellation Virgo with Elliot’s cowshed in Little Motbury, a scene from our current class novel. On Monday, nine children went to the EPA Indoor Athletics at Bartholomew School. Ms Morris accompanied the group and was extremely impressed with the team spirit, the enthusiasm, the determination and the encouragement shown. Well done team! It was lovely on Tuesday to welcome several parents into the classroom for our History Stay and Learn. We enjoyed learning six key features of classical Greek architecture and seeing how these have been replicated in much more recent buildings such as The British Museum. In Science we have carried out an investigation into how to make a bulb shine brighter and in Mandarin last week, Mr Richter brought in some calligraphy paintbrushes and the children thoroughly enjoyed having a go using them.
