What a lovely final week of term we have had, including the fabulous choir performace. Well done to all the members of the class who took part; it was terrific. This week we have completed some lovely writing describing setting and atmosphere, imagining the change that Greenling would bring to our school. In Maths, we have developed our work on ratio to look at scale drawings and scale factors of enlargement. We have also hugely enjoyed constructing our Mars rovers this week. For many children, it is the first time they have used a hacksaw and we soon learnt the importance of accurate measurement as we built our frames. Overall, the children showed great maturity and increasing skill through the project and I know they will be delighted to demonstrate them to you at home.
I hope that you all have a very happy and restful Easter and look forward to seeing everyone back in two weeks’ time.
