Owl Class News 11.11.2022

It has been an extremely busy week, including the first transition day to Bartholomew School and a trip to the war memorial for Remembrance Day where class members shared what we have learned about the four men from Stanton Harcourt who are commemorated there. We had a lot of fun in computing with a competition to programme a Beebot to reach the peacock first. Some did not get as far as the peacock while others over-shot as we forgot how to clear previous programmes before adding further instructions. Two teams judged it nearly perfectly – well done! Also this week, we have had some lovely homework related to World War II brought in and shared. It is great to see the children developing their own learning outside school and it is clearly enriching our school-based learning on this topic.
