A Brilliant Week in Owls Class!
This week, we have been busy completing some of our baseline assessments. These can always feel a little challenging during the first full week back, but I have been so impressed with the effort and determination shown by all of the children. All we can ever ask is that everyone tries their hardest, and they certainly did that this week!
We have also started our new Science topic, Properties and Materials. We got stuck straight in with some hands-on learning, creating mixtures using different materials and exploring what happened when they were combined. The children really enjoyed getting involved and investigating for themselves!
We also had our first swimming lesson of the term this week! The children were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was lovely that everyone getting involved and had such a positive first session.
Just a little reminder that Meet the Teacher Evening is next Wednesday. It would be lovely to see you there and have the opportunity to meet you all properly!
Have a lovely weekend!
Mr Catling.
