Owls Class News – 25.9.26

We’ve had another busy and exciting week in Owls!

In Science, we had great fun experimenting with making our own natural water filters to clean muddy water. The children thought carefully about how they could improve their filters and enjoyed testing their ideas. We also linked our learning to the wider world, thinking about how water filtration could support families in places where fresh, clean drinking water is not readily available.

In Maths, we have continued our work on place value, comparing and ordering numbers up to 10 million.

In English, the children wrote their alternative endings to our class story, Rose Blanche. I absolutely loved reading them and was so impressed by the creativity and effort that went into their writing!

Finally, in History, we explored the key countries involved in World War II and learned about the Allied and Axis powers.

Another fantastic week of learning in Owls. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and I’ll see you all on Monday!
