Squirrel Class News 03.03.23

What a wonderful and busy week we have had. This week, we have been exploring the Inuit people who live in the Artic in Geography. We compared how they live and how we live in the UK. We also dived deeper into our English text; You’re Snug With Me. We have been exploring the language in the text and we have looked at expanded noun phrases, past tense and first person. In math’s, Year 2’s have just begun to explore money; recognizing coins and their value and Year 1’s have been looking at numbers to 50. We are so proud of all of their hard work this week.

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day. We have been so impressed with the costumes and words children came as and we absolutely loved taking part in the activities. Thank you to you all for coming to the Bookie Breakfast, we loved spending our mornings reading and hearing you all enjoy reading and books.

We had a fantastic time,

Next week is assessment week. Please do not worry about these assessments as they were be done in small groups with no time constraints. There really is no pressure. It is just for us to see what areas of learning we need to revisit and focus on.

Have a lovely weekend Super Squirrels,
