Squirrel Class News 10.01.23

Wow Squirrels, what an incredible term we have had and I am so impressed with how keen and enthusiastic the children are to learn. Myself and Mrs Young have been blown away by the children’s enthusiasm for our new topic ‘Frozen Planet’. The efforts from the habitats for home learning have been exceptional.

This week, the children have enjoyed writing a non-chronological reports about ‘Packing for an Expedition to The North Pole’. We have made sure to include interesting facts, headings, sub-headings, pictures, captions and amazing adjectives. Below is just some examples of our wonderful work. Myself and Mrs Young are so proud of the children. Our handwriting and independence is really improving.

In Math’s, this week, we have been measuring in cm and m. We have used rulers to compare and order lengths and we even measured how tall we were.

This afternoon, we made Valentines cards for our loved ones.

Please continue reading with your children at home, the progress we are seeing in class is wonderful and the children are so proud of themselves.

We wish you all a wonderful half term,

Enjoy it Squirrels
