Squirrel Class News 13.01.23

Wow what a super star to our Spring Term Squirrels. We have all settled back into school incredibly well and we have loved hearing about your incredible Christmas breaks. This term, we are exploring Frozen Planet and we are extremely excited for our trip to the Science Museum. In Science, we have begun looking at Living Things and their Habitats. We started our topic by looking at what is a living things and we discovered we are living things because we breathe and grow. In Geography, we have begun by looking at the 7 continents and the 5 oceans- we sang a song to remember them all. We then made some balloons globes in partners. On Monday, in English our class received a mysterious backpack with some clues, we predicted the backpack was from an explorer. On Tuesday, we discovered the backpack was linked to our new story ‘The Great Explorer’ and we have enjoyed sequencing the story and becoming really familiar with it. In PE, we have begun our ball games topic on Tuesday. We learnt some tennis skills through games and we got to put them into practice.

I just wanted to finish off by saying thank you all for all of your lovely gifts and well wishes at the end of last term. We appreciate the support you all give.

Have a wonderful weekend Squirrels 🙂
