Squirrel Class News 5.7.24

We have had such a busy week this week!

We have been learning lots and lots of new vocabulary, and I have been so impressed with how much they have remembered! Especially in English, we have been learning lots of new words, getting ourselves ready for Year 2 – we have looked at main clauses, coordinating conjunctions and inverted commas for speech, tricky stuff!!

In maths, we have been recapping all of our learning over the past year – time, position and direction, place value, shape and measurements.

In Geography we have been looking at the differences between ports and harbours; in RE we looked at how relevant the 10 commandments are today; in PSHE we looked at how we change every time we learn something new; in Computing we had a go at creating algorithms on J2code; and in Science we looked at rainforest habitats.

Have a great weekend.
