Squirrel Class – Term 1 Week 3

posted in: Squirrel Class News | 0

It was lovely to be part of FOSHS Autumn Family Fun on Monday after school. It is always rewarding to see so many parents / carers attending these events and the children having such a good time.

Last week we were lucky to have James Carter (poet) in our school. As well as a KS1 and EYFS assembly, the children in Squirrel Class also took part in a workshop and created their own Kennings. The vocabulary that they chose to use was inspiring and James was impressed with their understanding and the enjoyment they showed when playing with words – Well done Squirrels!

I hope that the children shared with you that we are learning to tell the time. Here are some photos that I thought you may like to see.

As I’m sure you are aware I always invite parents / carers into our classroom each term in order to share learning. This term I am planning an afternoon tea party, with the children baking in the morning and sharing their learning with as many of you as possible in the afternoon. Look out for your invitation in book bags!

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to more learning fun this week.
