What a wonderful week, we have had in Squirrel Class.
On Monday, we found clues in a bag for our Hook lesson in English. We worked as detectives to find out what the clues meant, and we used our knowledge of our book ‘My Two Blankets’ to work out that Cartwheel (the main character) sent us the clues. We enjoyed retelling a part of the story with puppets and enjoyed exploring vocabulary from our model text.
This week, we have also been learning about The Harvest Festival and we have been preparing for Harvest Festival with our very own fruit faces and acrostic poems. We have also learnt a Harvest song which we will sing in our Harvest worship next week.
Today, we have had the most incredible trip to Witney Blanket Hall. We got to test out the wool and we practiced different techniques.
We also got to explore different artefacts.
