Squirrels Class News 1.12.23

Wow this week has flown by!

We have had lots of exciting things happening this week, with our trip to Chipping Norton pantomime being the main event. Everyone absolutely loved the performance, and especially the interval treat of ice cream! It was such a fantastic time, and everyone behaved so beautifully outside of the school grounds, well done Squirrels.

We have also had a visit from Owl class who we read with and shared our thoughts on our books. It was so lovely to see.

In English we have been learning all about different sentence types and using this new knowledge to write an abundance of different sentences – how impressive!

In maths we have been continuing to look at number bonds and partitioning numbers to 10, using our ‘five and a bit’ structure – knowing that 6 is 5 and 1 more. We are becoming very speedy with their number bonds, go us!

Thank you to everyone who has brought in their Nativity costumes, it is greatly appreciated.

Just to note again that there is no homework this half term – just reading at home, and learning the song lyrics for our Nativity, which can be found on the Curriculum information page of the website. Thank you!

Have a fantastic weekend.
