Dear Parents and Pupils,
Welcome back to school and to Hedgehogs Class! We are very excited to start a new school year full of fun, learning, and exciting opportunities.
This year, the class teacher will be Mr Catling, supported by our teaching assistant, Miss Leeds. Together, we are looking forward to helping every child in Hedgehogs Class grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Our first topic is The Great Fire of London, which we are sure the children will find fascinating. We also have lots more exciting learning to look forward to across the year.
Daily reading will be an important part of our routine. Children will have daily phonics lessons in class and will bring home two books: one matched to their reading level for practice, and another of their choosing to enjoy for fun.
PE will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays, and children should come into school wearing their PE kit on those days. Please also send in a pair of wellies so we can make the most of our outdoor learning, whatever the weather!
We are really looking forward to the year ahead and to seeing all of our Hedgehogs shine brightly as they learn and grow together.
